Audio Power Amplifier Solutions for New Wireless Phones

Texas Instruments
Wireless phones continue to gain additional features making them more valuable to the end user. Many of these features involve increased audio functionality and hence some additional design effort on the audio portion of the phone. This paper gives an overview of audio amplifiers before describing different audio architectures that can be used to implement features like ear-bud speakers stereo

MSP430 Advanced Power Optimizations: ULP Advisor SW and EnergyTrace Technology

Texas Instruments
MSP430 microcontrollers are designed specifically for ultra-low-power applications. Features such as multiple low-power modes instant wakeup intelligent autonomous peripherals and much more to enable such ultra-low-power capabilities. Texas Instruments provides valuable tools to help the programmer fully use these benefits and optimize power consumption of the target application. This app

CAN Bus Bootloader for RM46 MCU

Texas Instruments
A bootloader enables field updates of application firmware. A controller area network (CAN) bootloader enables firmware updates over the CAN bus. The CAN ootloader described in this application report is based on the Hercules™ ARM® Cortex™-R4 microcontroller. This application report describes the CAN protocol used in the bootloader and details each supported command.

AN-C V/F Converter ICs Handle Frequency-to-Voltage Needs (Rev. B)

Texas Instruments
Simplify your frequency-to-voltage (F/V) converter designs with versatile V/F ICs. Starting with a basicconverter circuit you can modify it to meet almost any application requirement. You can spare yourselfsome hard labor when designing F/V converters by using a voltage-to-frequency (V/F) IC in your designs. These ICs form the basis of a series of accurate yet economical F/V converters sui

Using IRES and RMAN Framework Components for C64x+

Texas Instruments
IRES is a TMS320 DSP Algorithm Standard (xDAIS) interface for management and utilization of special resource types such as hardware accelerators certain types of memory and DMA. RMAN is a generic Resource Manager that manages software components' logical resources based on their IRES interface configuration. Both IRES and RMAN are Framework Component modules. This document presents an overview of

Design Tradeoffs When Implementing IEEE 1149.1 (Rev. A)

Texas Instruments
Many design trade-offs occur when implementing the IEEE 1149.1 in integrated circuits (ICs) printed wiring boards (PWB) and systems. This document presents an overview of IEEE 1149.1 its logic and design trade-offs PWB design and system tasks.

Hardware Design Considerations for an Electric Bicycle using BLDC Motor

Texas Instruments

A traditional bicycle is a two-wheel vehicle that is propelled by the rider who delivers muscle power through pedals that rotate one of the two wheels. The rider steers the front wheel to create a force that returns and maintains the vehicle center of gravity into a stable zone whenever necessary, thus keeping the bicycle upright. An electric bicycle carries batteries that deliver electric power to a motor that is coupled to either wheel. In most electric bicycles the rider can chose to use muscle power to deliver all, part, or none of the propulsion power required to maintain an adopted travel speed. Some models even sense pedal pressure and command the motor to deliver more power whenever the rider pedals harder.
