The LTC1564 is a new type of continuous time filter for antialiasing, reconstruction and other band-limiting applications. No other analog components or filter expertise are needed to use it. There is one analog input pin and one analog output pin. The cutoff frequency (fC) and gain are programmable while the shape of the lowpass response is fixed. A latching digital interface stores fC and gain settings or it can be bypassed for control directly from the pins. The LTC1564 operates from 2.7V to 10V total (single or split supplies) and comes in a 16-pin surface mount SSOP.The LTC1564 is a rail-to-rail high resolution 8th-order lowpass filter with two stopband notches, giving approximately 100dB attenuation at 2.5 times the passband cutoff frequency fC (a de-facto standard for DSP front ends). Signals with low or variable levels can be normalized with the built-in variable gain that reduces input-referred noise with increasing gain for a typical dynamic range (maximum signal level to minimum noise) of 122dB (20 equivalent bits) with 20kHz fC and 118dB at 100kHz fC on a ?5V supply.Other frequency-response shapes can be provided upon request. The LTC1871 is a wide input range, current mode, boost, flyback or SEPIC controller that drives an N-channel power MOSFET and requires very few external components. Intended for low to medium power applications, it eliminates the need for a current sense resistor by utilizing the power MOSFET?s on-resistance, thereby maximizing efficiency. The IC?s operating frequency can be set with an external resistor over a 50kHz to 1MHz range, and can be synchronized to an external clock using the MODE/SYNC pin. Burst Mode operation at light loads, a low minimum operating supply voltage of 2.5V and a low shutdown quiescent current of 10?A make the LTC1871 ideally suited for battery-operated systems. For applications requiring constant frequency operation, Burst Mode operation can be defeated using the MODE/ SYNC pin. Higher output voltage boost, SEPIC and flyback applications are possible with the LTC1871 by connecting the SENSE pin to a resistor in the source of the power MOSFET.The LTC1871 is available in the 10-lead MSOP package. The LTC1864/LTC1865 are 16-bit A/D converters that are offered in MSOP and SO-8 packages and operate on a single 5V supply. At 250ksps, the supply current is only 850?A. The supply current drops at lower speeds because the LTC1864/LTC1865 automatically power down between conversions. These 16-bit switched capacitor successive approximation ADCs include sample-and-holds. The LTC1864 has a differential analog input with an adjustable reference pin. The LTC1865 offers a software-selectable 2-channel MUX and an adjustable reference pin on the MSOP version. The 3-wire, serial I/O, small MSOP or SO-8 package and extremely high sample rate-to-power ratio make these ADCs ideal choices for compact, low power, high speed systems. These ADCs can be used in ratiometric applications or with external references. The high impedance analog inputs and the ability to operate with reduced spans down to 1V full scale, allow direct connection to signal sources in many applications, eliminating the need for external gain stages.Applications High Speed Data Acquisition Portable or Compact Instrumentation Low Power Battery-Operated Instrumentation Isolated and/or Remote Data Acquisition

The LTC3701 is a 2-phase dual constant frequency current mode step-down DC/DC controller providing excellent load and line regulation. Power loss and noise due to ESR of the input capacitor are minimized by operating the two controller output stages out-of-phase.The LTC3701 provides a 0.8V ?2% voltage reference and consumes only 460?A of quiescent current. To further maximize the life of a battery source, the external P-channel MOSFET is turned on continuously in dropout (100% duty cycle).Switching frequency is internally set at 550kHz, allowing the use of small inductors and capacitors. For noise sensitive applications, the LTC3701 can be externally synchronized using its phase-locked loop. The frequency can also be externally set from 300kHz to 750kHz by applying a voltage to the PLLLPF pin. Burst Mode operation is inhibited during synchronization or when the EXTCLK/MODE pin is pulled low to reduce noise and RF interference. The LTC3701 contains independent internal soft-start circuitry for each controller. Other features include a power good output voltage monitor and output overvoltage and short-circuit protection. The LTC3701 is available in a small footprint 16-lead narrow SSOP package.Applications One or Two Lithium-Ion Powered Applications Notebook and Handheld Computers Personal Digital Assistants Portable Instruments Distributed DC Power Systems

The LTC1923 is a pulse width modulator intended for thermoelectric cooler (TEC) or heater applications requiring either unidirectional or bidirectional drive circuits. All of the necessary control circuitry and two sets of complementary output drivers are integrated into the LTC1923 to drive a full bridge, providing an efficient means of bidirectional current flow to the TEC. An accurate temperature control loop to stabilize the temperature of a laser diode system is easily achieved with the addition of just a few external components. Typical temperature setpoint accuracy of 0.1?C is achievable with the LTC1923. Adding an instrumentation amplifier front end allows setpoint stability of 0.01?C.The part features independent adjustable heating and cooling pulse-by-pulse current limit, current soft-start for controlled start-up, output slew rate control to reduce system noise, differential current sense and voltage amplifiers and a host of auxiliary circuits to protect the laser and provide redundant system monitoring.Applications Laser-Based Fiber Optic Links Medical Instruments CPU Temperature Regulators

The LTC4007 is a complete constant-current/constant-voltage charger controller for 3- or 4-cell lithium-ion batteries. The PWM controller uses a synchronous, quasi-constant frequency, constant off-time architecture that will not generate audible noise even when using ceramic capacitors. Charging current is programmable to ?4% accuracy using a programming resistor. Charging current can also be monitored as a voltage across the programming resistor. The output float voltage is pin programmed for cell count (3 cells or 4 cells) and chemistry (4.2V/4.1V). A timer, programmed by an external resistor, sets the charge termination time. Charging is automatically restarted when cell voltage falls below 3.9V/cell.LTC4007 includes a thermistor input, which suspends charging if an unsafe temperature condition is detected. If the cell voltage is less than 2.5V, a low-battery indicator asserts and can be used to program a trickle charge current to safely charge depleted batteries. The FAULT pin is also asserted and charging terminates if the low-battery condition persists for more than 1/4 of the total charge time.
