DC661A-B

Analog Devices Inc.
The LT3468/LT3468-1/LT3468-2 are highly integrated ICs designed to charge photoflash capacitors in digital and film cameras. A patented control technique* allows for the use of extremely small transformers. Each device contains an on-chip high voltage NPN power switch. Output voltage detection* is completely contained within the device, eliminating the need for any discrete zener diodes or resistors. The output voltage can be adjusted by simply changing the turns ratio of the transformer. The LT3468 has a primary current limit of 1.4A, the LT3468-2 has a 1A limit, and the LT3468-1 has a 0.7A limit. These different current limit levels result in well controlled input currents of 500mA for the LT3468, 375mA for the LT3468-2 and 225mA for the LT3468-1. Aside from the differing current limit, the three devices are otherwise equivalent. The CHARGE pin gives full control of the part to the user. Driving CHARGE low puts the part in shutdown. The DONE pin indicates when the part has completed charging. The LT3468 series of parts are available in tiny low profile (1mm) SOT-23 packages.Applications Digital / Film Camera Flash PDA / Cell Phone Flash Emergency Strobe

The LTC3426 step-up switching regulator generates an output voltage of up to 5.5V from an input voltage as low as 1.6V. Ideal for applications where space is limited, it switches at 1.2MHz, allowing the use of tiny, low cost and low profile external components. Its internal 2A, 100m? NMOS switch provides high efficiency even at heavy load, while the constant frequency, current mode architecture results in low, predictable output noise that is easy to filter.Anti-ringing circuitry reduces EMI concerns by damping the inductor while in discontinuous mode, and internal soft-start eases inrush current worries. Internal frequency compensation is designed to accommodate ceramic output capacitors, further reducing noise. The device features very low shutdown current of 0.5?A.The LTC3426 is available in the 6-lead SOT-23 package.Protected by U.S. Patents, including 6498466, 6611131Applications White LED Driver Supply Local 3.3V or 5V Supply Battery Back-Up

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 742B features the LTC2449, an 8-/16-channel, high speed, 24-bit ΔΣ ADC with ten selectable speed/resolution modes from 6.9Hz/200nVRMS to 3.5kHz/25μVRMS (4kHz with external oscillator). Key DC specifications include 5ppm INL, 5μV offset, 10ppm fullscale error and 20nV/°C offset drift. In the 6.9Hz/200nVRMS mode, input normal mode rejection of 50Hz and 60Hz noise is better than 87dB. The accuracy (offset, full-scale, linearity, drift) and power dissipation are independent of the speed selected. The LTC2449 performs auto-zeroing of the ADC by reversing the inputs through the multiplexer output/ADC input connections. This allows an external dual buffer amplifier to isolate the signal inputs from the sampling current of the ADC.

The LTC3415 is a high efficiency, monolithic synchronous buck regulator using a phase lockable constant frequency, current mode architecture. PolyPhase? operation allows multiple LTC3415s to run out of phase while using minimal input and output capacitance. The operating supply range is from 5.5V down to 2.5V, making it suitable for single Lithium-Ion battery as well as point of load power supply applications. Burst Mode operation provides high efficiency at low load currents. 100% duty cycle provides low dropout operation that extends operating time in battery-operated systems. The operating frequency is internally set at 1.5MHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors. For switching-noise sensitive applications, it can be externally synchronized from 0.75MHz to 2.25MHz. The PHMODE pin allows user control of the phase of the outgoing clock signal. The current sense comparator is factory trimmed for accurate output current sharing. Burst Mode operation is inhibited during synchronization or when the MODE pin is pulled low to reduce noise and RF interference.Applications Point of Load Power Supply Portable Instruments Distributed Power Systems Battery-Powered Equipment
