The LT1373 is a low supply current high frequency current mode switching regulator. It can be operated in all standard switching configurations including boost, buck, flyback, forward, inverting and ?Cuk.? A 1.5A high efficiency switch is included on the die, along with all oscillator, control and protection circuitry. All functions of the LT1373 are integrated into 8-pin SO/PDIP packages.Compared to the 500kHz LT1372, which draws 4mA of quiescent current, the LT1373 switches at 250kHz, typically consumes only 1mA and has higher efficiency. High frequency switching allows for small inductors to be used. All surface mount components consume less than 0.6 square inch of board space.New design techniques increase flexibility and maintain ease of use. Switching is easily synchronized to an external logic level source. A logic low on the shutdown pin reduces supply current to 12?A. Unique error amplifier circuitry can regulate positive or negative output voltage while maintaining simple frequency compensation techniques. Nonlinear error amplifier transconductance reduces output overshoot on start-up or overload recovery. Oscillator frequency shifting protects external components during overload conditions.Applications Boost Regulators CCFL Backlight Driver Laptop Computer Supplies Multiple Output Flyback Supplies Inverting Supplies

LTC3704EMS Demo Board | 4.5V to 15VIN, –70VOUT1 @ 200mA, –24VOUT2 @ 200mA

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 518 is a SLIC (Subscriber Line Interface Circuit) positive input to negative output converter featuring the LTC3704 switching controller. DC518 converts 4.5V to 15V input to –24V at 200mA and –70V at 200mA at its output. The demo board uses a transformer with the three primary side widings in parallel to generate three –24V outputs. By stacking the voltages on top of each other, –70V ±10% is obtained. The demo board operates at 200kHz with high efficiency of up to 92%.

LTC3704EMS Demo Board | Positive to Negative Converter, 5V to 15VIN, –5.2VOUT @ 2.5A

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 524 is a positive input to negative output converter featuring the LTC3704 switching controller. The DC524 converts a 5V to 15V input to a –5.2V output and provides up to 2.5A of output current from 5V input. The converter operates at 300kHz with a high efficiency of 89%. The DC524 is set to operate in No RSENSE™ mode with input voltages up to 15V. However, DC524 can be modified for higher input voltages with an optional current sense resistor. The circuit features optional soft-start circuitry that can be enabled or disabled with a single jumper. Also, DC524 has a jumper to program either continuous or Burst Mode™ operation. The DC524 can be synchronized to an external clock of up to 400kHz.

Analog Devices Inc.
The LT1310 boost DC/DC converter combines a 1.5A current mode PWM switcher with an integrated phase-locked loop, allowing the user to set the switching frequency anywhere from 10kHz to 4.5MHz. Intended for use in applications where switching frequency must be accurately controlled, the LT1310 can generate 12V at up to 400mA from a 5V input.Switching frequency is set with an external capacitor, and the device can be operated in either free-running or phase-locked mode. A wide capture range of nearly 2:1 allows the free-running frequency to be set using standard ?10% tolerance NP0 dielectric capacitors. The LT1310 is available in the tiny thermally enhanced 10-lead MSOP package.Applications Instruments Avionics Data Acquisition Communications Imaging Ultrasound
