EVAL-AD5590EBZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5590 is a 16-channel input and 16-channel output analog I/O port with eight uncommitted amplifiers, operating from a single 4.5 V to 5.25 V supply. The AD5590 comprises 16 input channels multiplexed into a 1 MSPS, 12-bit successive approximation ADC with a sequencer to allow a preprogrammed selection of channels to be converted sequentially. The ADC contains a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 1 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using ASYNC and the serial clock signal, allowing the device to easily interface with microprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of ASYNC and conversion is also initiated at this point. There are no pipeline delays associated with the ADC. By setting the relevant bits in the control register, the analog input range for the ADC can be selected to be a 0 V to VREFA input or a 0 V to 2 ? VREFA with either straight binary or twos complement output coding. The conversion time is determined by the ASCLK frequency because it is also used as the master clock to control the conversion. The DAC section of the AD5590 comprises sixteen 12-bit DACs divided into two groups of eight. Each group has an on-chip reference. The on-board references are off at power-up, allowing the use of external references. The internal references are enabled via a software write. The AD5590 incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC outputs power up to 0 V and remain powered up at this level until a valid write takes place. The DAC contains a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode for any or all DAC channels. The outputs of all DACs can be updated simultaneously using the LDAC function, with the added functionality of user-selectable DAC channels to simultaneously update. There is also an asynchronous CLR that updates all DACs to a user-programmable code: zero scale, midscale, or full scale. The AD5590 contains eight low noise, single-supply amplifiers. These amplifiers can be used for signal conditioning for the ADCs, DACs, or other independent circuitry, if required.APPLICATIONS Optical Line Cards (Monitoring and Control) Base Stations General Purpose Analog I/O Monitoring and control

The reference voltage is applied to the partexternally. All conversion results are available on a single LVDS self-clocked or echo-clocked serial interface. The AD7961 is available in a 32-lead LFCSP (QFN) with operation specified from ?40?C to +85?C.APPLICATIONS Digital imaging systems ?Digital X-rays ?Computed tomography ?IR cameras MRI gradient control High speed data acquisition Spectroscopy Test equipment

EVAL-AD7992EBZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7992 is a 12-bit, low power, successive approximation ADC with an I2 C-compatible interface. The part operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply and features a 2 ?s conversion time. The part contains a 2-channel multiplexer and track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies up to 11 MHz. The AD7992 provides a 2-wire serial interface compatible with I2C interfaces. The part comes in two versions, the AD7992-0 and the AD7992-1, and each version allows for at least two different I2C addresses. The AD7992-0 supports standard and fast I2C interface modes, and the AD7992-1 supports standard, fast, and high speed I2C interface modes. The AD7992 normally remains in a shutdown state while not converting, and powers up only for conversions. The conversion process can be controlled using the CONVST pin, by a command mode where conversions occur across I2C write operations, or an automatic conversion interval mode selected through software control. The AD7992 requires an external reference in the range of 1.2 V to VDD. This allows the widest dynamic input range to the ADC. On-chip limit registers can be programmed with high and low limits for the conversion result, and an open-drain, out-of-range indicator output (ALERT) becomes active when the conversion result violates the programmed high or low limits. This output can be used as an interrupt.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS 2 ?s conversion time and low power consumption. I2C-compatible serial interface with pin-selectable addresses. Two AD7992 versions allow five AD7992 devices to be connected to the same serial bus. The part features automatic shutdown while not converting to maximize power efficiency. Current consumption is 1 ?A max when in shutdown mode at 3 V. Reference can be driven up to the power supply. Out-of-range indicator that can be software disabled or enabled. One-shot and automatic conversion rates. Registers store minimum and maximum conversion results.

EVAL-ADA4522-2ARMZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADA4522-1 / ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 are single/dual/quadchannel, zero drift op amps with low noise and power, groundsensing inputs, and rail-to-rail output, optimized for totalaccuracy over time, temperature, and voltage conditions. Thewide operating voltage and temperature ranges, as well as thehigh open-loop gain and very low dc and ac errors make thedevices well suited for amplifying very small input signals andfor accurately reproducing larger signals in a wide variety ofapplications. The ADA4522-1 / ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 performance isspecified at 5.0 V, 30 V, and 55 V power supply voltages. Thesedevices operate over the range of 4.5 V to 55 V, and are excellentfor applications using single-ended supplies of 5 V, 10 V, 12 V,and 30 V, or for applications using higher single supplies anddual supplies of ?2.5 V, ?5 V, and ?15 V. The ADA4522-1 / ?ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 use on-chip filtering to achieve highimmunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI).The ADA4522-1 / ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 are fully specifiedover the extended industrial temperature range of ?40?C to+125?C and are available in 8-lead MSOP, 8-lead SOIC, 14-leadSOIC, and 14-lead TSSOP packages.APPLICATIONS Inductance, capacitance, and resistance (LCR) meter/megohmmeter front-end amplifiers Load cell and bridge transducers Magnetic force balance scales High precision shunt current sensing Thermocouple/resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensors Programmable logic controller (PLC) input and output amplifiers
