Demonstration circuit DC1663A features the LTM4628EV, the high efficiency, high density, dual 8A output, switch mode step-down power module. The input voltage is from 4.5V to 26.5V. The output voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 5.5V. Output current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE jumper (JP1) selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications. The DC1663A sets the LTM4628EV default switching frequency to 400kHz; however the frequency is resistor programmable from 250kHz up to 780kHz.

Demonstration Circuit 1674A-A is dual input power manager/3.5A Li-Ion battery charger with I2C control and USB On-The-Go (OTG). The dual input multiplexer, overvoltage protection (OVP) and reverse voltage protection (RVP) is implemented with external N-channel MOSFETs. An onboard buck regulator generates the VOUT voltage from the active input voltage. This voltage is regulated to minimize the dissipation in the battery charger. The minimum voltage of the VOUT regulator is 3.5V to provide an instant-on function when the battery is fully discharged. Most functions on the LTC4155EUFD are controlled via the I2C serial interface. The LTC4155EUFD also provides extensive status information via the I2C serial interface.

The LTC3115-1 is a high voltage monolithic synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter. Its wide 2.7V to 40V input and output voltage ranges make it well suited to a wide variety of automotive and industrial applications. A proprietary low noise switching algorithm optimizes efficiency with input voltages that are above, below or even equal to the output voltage and ensures seamless transitions between operational modes.Programmable frequency PWM mode operation provides low noise, high efficiency operation and the ability to synchronize switching to an external clock. Switching frequencies up to 2MHz are supported to allow use of small value inductors for miniaturization of the application circuit. Demonstration circuit 1695 is a Low Quiescent Current, Synchronous Buck Converter featuring the LTC3891EFE. DC1695 converts a 4.5V-60V voltage source to 3.3V at 5.0A. The main features of the board include an internal LDO for power gate driver from VIN or EXTVCC, RUN and PGOOD pins and a Mode selector that allows converter to run in CCM, Pulse Skipping or Burst Mode operation, selectable current limit. DC1695 supports also adjustable output voltage, Soft-Start and Tracking. Synchronization to an external clock is possible as well. The wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 60V is suitable for automotive or other battery fed application and Distributed DC Power Systems where low quiescent current is important.

The LTC5591 is part of a family of dual-channel high dynamic range, high gain downconverting mixers covering the 600MHz to 4.5GHz RF frequency range. The LTC5591 is optimized for 1.3GHz to 2.3GHz RF applications. The LO frequency must fall within the 1.4GHz to 2.1GHz range for optimum performance. A typical application is a LTE or W-CDMA multichannel or diversity receiver with a 1.7GHz to 2.2GHz RF input and low side LO.The LTC5591?s high conversion gain and high dynamic range enable the use of lossy IF filters in high selectivity receiver designs, while minimizing the total solution cost, board space and system-level variation. The LT3086 is a multi-feature, low dropout, low noise 2.1A linear regulator that operates over a 1.4V to 40V input supply range. Dropout voltage at 2.1A is typically 330mV. One resistor sets output voltage from 0.4V to 32V. Output voltage tolerance is guaranteed to ?2% over line, load and temperature. The LT3086 is stable with ceramic output capacitors, requiring a minimum of 10?F.The LT3086?s programmable cable drop compensation cancels output voltage errors caused by resistive connections to the load. A master/slave configuration allows paralleling of multiple devices for higher load current and heat spreading without external ballast resistor requirements.Output current and temperature monitoring along with a power good flag provide system diagnostic and debug capability. Internal fault circuitry includes thermal shutdown and current limit with foldback. Demonstration circuit 1730A features the LT3973, a monolithic step-down switching regulator which consumes only 2.5μA quiescent current. The demo circuit is designed for a 5V, 750mA output from a 5.6V to 42V input. The wide input range of the LT3973 allows a variety of input sources including automotive batteries and 24V industrial supplies. In order to reduce the number of components and solution size, the catch diode and boost diode are integrated. The switching frequency is adjustable up to 2.2MHz. At light loads, the regulator operates in Burst Mode® to maintain high efficiency and low output ripple.

Demonstration circuit 1740A is a PolyPhase® synchronous buck converter featuring the LTC3880EUJ, a dual-phase current mode controller with PMBus interface and digital power system management functions. The DC1740A-A is a two chip 4-phase single-output configuration. The default output setting is VOUT0 = 1.2V/80A. The DC1740A powers up to default settings and produces power based on configuration resistors or with non-volatile memory (NVM) settings without the need for any serial bus communication. This allows easy evaluation of the DC/DC converter aspects of the LTC3880. To fully explore the extensive digital power management features of the parts, download the GUI software LTpowerPlay™ onto your PC and use LTC’s I2C/SMBus/PMBus Dongle DC1613A to connect to the board.

The LTM2883 is a complete galvanic 6-channel digital ?Module? (micromodule) isolator. No external components are required. A single 3.3V or 5V supply powers both sides of the interface through an integrated, isolated DC/DC converter. The output voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 5V. DC1759A can deliver 13A maximum current from each channel. As explained in the data sheet, output current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE jumper (JP1) selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications. Two outputs can be connected in parallel for a single 26A output solution with optional jumper resistors. The board allows the user to program how its output ramps up and down through the TRACK/SS pin. The output can be set up to either coincidentally or ratiometrically track with another supply’s output. Remote output voltage sensing is available for improved output voltage regulation at the load point.
