MAX893LESA+

Part Number : MAX893LESA+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX893L smart, low-voltage, P-channel, MOSFET power switch is intended for high-side load-switching applications. This switch operates with inputs from +2.7V to +5.5V, making it ideal for both +3V and +5V systems. Internal current-limiting circuitry protects the input supply against overload. Thermal overload protection limits power dissipation and junction temperature. The MAX893L's maximum programmed current limit is 1.2A. The typical short-circuit current is 1.5 times the programmed current; therefore, a 1.2A programmed limit will result in a 1.8A short-circuit current limit. The current limit through the switch is programmed with a resistor from SET to ground. The quiescent supply current is a low 13µA. When the switch is off, the supply current decreases to 0.1µA.The MAX893L is available in an 8-pin SO package.ApplicationsAccess Bus SlotsPCMCIA SlotsPortable EquipmentUSB HubsUSB Ports

MAX9013EUA+

Part Number : MAX9013EUA+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX9010/MAX9011/MAX9013 single and MAX9012 dual, high-speed comparators operate from a single 4.5V to 5.5V power supply and feature low-current consumption. They have precision differential inputs and TTL outputs. They feature short propagation delay (5ns, typ), low-supply current, and a wide common-mode input range that includes ground. They are ideal for low-power, high-speed, single-supply applications. The comparator outputs remain stable through the linear region when driven with slow-moving or low input-overdrive signals, eliminating the output instability common to other high-speed comparators. The input voltage range extends to 200mV below ground with no output phase reversal. The MAX9013 features complementary outputs and both the MAX9011/MAX9013 have a latch enable input (LE). The MAX9013 is an improved plug-in replacement for the industry-standard MAX913 and LT1016/LT1116, offering lower power and higher speed when used in a single 5V supply application. For space-critical designs, the single MAX9010 is available in the tiny 6-pin SC70 package. The single MAX9011 is available in a space-saving 6-pin SOT23 package. The dual MAX9012 and the single MAX9013 are available in 8-pin µMAX® and 8-pin SO packages. All products in the family are guaranteed over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.ApplicationsBattery-Powered ApplicationsFast Pulse Height/Width DiscriminatorsHigh-Speed Line ReceiversHigh-Speed Sampling CircuitsHigh-Speed Signal SquaringHigh-Speed TriggeringSwitching RegulatorsZero-Crossing Detectors

MAX9691ESA+

Part Number : MAX9691ESA+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX9691/MAX9692/MAX9693 are ultra-fast ECL comparators capable of very short propagation delays. Their design maintains the excellent DC matching characteristics normally found only in slower comparators. The MAX9691/MAX9692/MAX9693 have differential inputs and complementary outputs that are fully compatible with ECL-logic levels. Output current levels are capable of driving 50Ω terminated transmission lines. The ultra-fast operation makes signal processing possible at frequencies in excess of 600MHz.The MAX9692/MAX9693 feature a latch-enable (LE) function that allows the comparator to be used in a sample-hold mode. When LE is ECL high, the comparator functions normally. When LE is driven ECL low, the outputs are forced to an unambiguous ECL-logic state, dependent on the input conditions at the time of the latch input transition. If the latch-enable function is not used on either of the two comparators, the appropriate LE input must be connected to ground; the companion active-low LE input must be connected to a high ECL logic level. These devices are available in SO, QSOP, and tiny µMAX® packages for added space savings.ApplicationsHigh-Speed Line ReceiversHigh-Speed TriggeringPeak DetectorsThreshold Detectors

MAX1602EEE+

Part Number : MAX1602EEE+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX1602 DC power-switching IC contains a network of low-resistance MOSFET switches that deliver selectable VCC and VPP voltages to a single CardBus or PC Card host socket. Key features include low-resistance switches, small packaging, soft-switching action, and compliance with PCMCIA specifications for 3V/5V switching. 3.3V-only power switching for fast, 32-bit CardBus applications is supported in two ways: low-resistance 3.3V switches allow high 3.3V load currents (up to 1A); and completely independent internal charge pumps let the 3.3V switch operate normally, even if the +5V and +12V supplies are disconnected or turned off to conserve power. The internal charge pumps are regulating types that draw reduced input current when the VCC switches are static. Power consumption is automatically reduced to 11µA max when the outputs are high-Z or GND.Other key features include guaranteed specifications for output current limit level, and guaranteed specifications for output rise/fall times (in compliance with PCMCIA specifications). Reliability is enhanced by thermal-overload protection, accurate current limiting, an overcurrent-fault flag output, and undervoltage lock-outs. The CMOS/TTL-logic interface is flexible, and can tolerate logic input levels in excess of the positive supply rail. The MAX1602 fits a complete CardBus/PCMCIA switch into a space-saving, 16-pin QSOP package.ApplicationsData LoggingDocking StationsHandy TerminalsPCMCIA Read/Write Drives

MAX1649CPA+

Part Number : MAX1649CPA+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX1649/MAX1651 BiCMOS, step-down, DC-DC switching controllers provide high efficiency over loads ranging from 1mA to more than 2.5A. A unique, current-limited pulse-frequency-modulated (PFM) control scheme gives these devices the benefits of pulse-width-modulation (PWM) converters (high efficiency at heavy loads), while using only 100µA of supply current (vs. 2mA to 10mA for PWM converters). Dropout performance down to 300mV is provided by a high switch duty cycle (96.5%) and a low current-sense threshold (110mV).A high switching frequency (up to 300kHz) allows these devices to use miniature external components. The MAX1649/MAX1651 have dropout voltages less than 0.3V at 500mA and accept input voltages up to 16V. Output voltages are preset at 5V (MAX1649), or 3.3V (MAX1651). They can also be adjusted to any voltage from 1.5V to the input voltage by using two resistors. These step-down controllers drive external P-channel MOSFETs at loads greater than 12.5W. If less power is required, use the MAX639/MAX640/MAX653 step-down converters with on-chip FETs, which allow up to a 225mA load current.Applications5V to 3.3V Green PC ApplicationsBattery-Powered ApplicationsHigh-Efficiency Step-Down RegulationPDAs

MAX1673ESA+

Part Number : MAX1673ESA+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX1673 charge-pump inverter provides a low-cost, compact means of generating a regulated negative output from a positive input at up to 125mA. It requires only three small capacitors, and only two resistors to set its output voltage. The input range is 2V to 5.5V. The regulated output can be set from 0V to -VIN in Skip regulation mode or -1.5V to -VIN in Linear (LIN) regulation mode.In Skip mode, the MAX1673 regulates by varying its switching frequency as a function of load current. This On-Demand™ switching gives the MAX1673 two advantages: very small capacitors and very low quiescent supply current. At heavy loads, it transfers energy from the input to the output by switching at up to 350kHz. It switches more slowly at light loads, using only 35µA quiescent supply current. In Linear mode, the MAX1673 switches at a constant 350kHz at all loads and regulates by controlling the current-path resistance. This provides constant-frequency ripple, which is easily filtered for low-noise applications. This device also features a 1µA logic-controlled shutdown mode and is available in a standard 8-pin SO package. For a device that delivers about 10mA and fits in a smaller package, refer to the MAX868.ApplicationsAnalog Signal ProcessingCamcordersDigital Still CamerasHard Disk DriveMeasurement InstrumentationModems
