Renesas Electronics ZSSC3281 Resistive Sensor Signal Conditioner IC
The Renesas Electronics ZSSC3281 is a highly precise Resistive Sensor Signal Conditioner (SSC) IC designed for accurate amplification, digitization, and sensor-specific corrections. It is compatible with bridge and half-bridge sensors, external voltage-source elements, and single-element sensors that use an on-chip current source. The IC features a 32-bit Arm® M3-based math core that executes a correction algorithm to digitally compensate for sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature drift, and non-linearity. Calibration coefficients are stored in non-volatile, reprogrammable memory. Its programmable, integrated sensor front-end enables optimal sensor application across various uses.
The ZSSC3281 supports measurement readouts and programming through I2C, SPI, or one-wire interface (OWI). It also offers options for absolute and ratiometric voltage, current-loop, or interrupt outputs.
This IC is available in a 5.0mm x 5.0mm QFN-40 package and can also be supplied as a bare die on a 304µm or 725µm wafer, either with or without inking.
