Migrating From TMS320C6211B/C6711/C6711B/C6711C to TMS320C6711D (Rev. H)

Texas Instruments
This document describes issues of interest related to migration from the Texas Instruments TMS320C6211B/C6711/C6711B GFN package and TMS320C6711C GDP package to the TMS320C6711D digital signal processor (DSP) GDP package. The objective of this document is to indicate differences between these devices. Functions that are identical between these devices are not included. For detailed information on

AN-898 Audio Amplifiers Utilizing: SPiKe Protection (Rev. B)

Texas Instruments
This application report explains in detail each of the protections provided by SPiKe protected audioamplifiers the advantages they bring to audio designers and why they are necessary.

Implementation of the Double-Precision Complex FFT for the TMS320C54x DSP (Rev. B)

Texas Instruments
A double-precision complex Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) C-callable code library has been developed for the Texas Instruments (TI)(tm) TMS320C54x fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP). The library includes routines and the necessary 32-bit coefficients to process both the FFT and the inverse FFT (IFFT) for 32-bit complex-valued input data. The routines can accommodate input data lengths of 8

Implementation of Programmer for Serial Bootloaders on TM4C12x Microcontroller

Texas Instruments
This application report demonstrates how a programmer can be implemented by using the EKTM4C123GXL LaunchPad to communicate with the serial bootloader (SBL) over UART, I2C or SSI serial peripherals of

Implementing Field-Oriented Control of AC Motors with the TMS320C25 DSP

Texas Instruments
The field-oriented theory is the base of a special control method for induction motor drives. With this control method induction motors can successfully replace expensive DC motors. Induction motors require complex control algorithms because there is no linear relationship between the stator current and either the torque or the flux. This means that it is difficult to control the speed or the to

A Third Generation Timing Controller And Column Driver Architecture Using Point-to-Point Differential Signaling

Texas Instruments

Many assume LCDs will quickly dominate the TV market by simply scaling existing LCD monitor panels to wider formats (e.g. 16:9 HDTV) and larger sizes. However, a number of TV requirements push beyond the state-of-the-art monitors of today; response time, brightness, contrast, color envelope, color temperature, and progressive scan-and-hold issues require a reengineering of the monitor solution.

Building upon the strengths of National’s LVDS and RSDS technology solutions in digital video-data communications, we have created a completely new architecture that fully addresses the needs of TV while supporting existing platforms. The Point-to-Point Differential Signaling (PPDS TM) architecture is more than a data link between the timing controller and the column driver. It is an architecture that supports very large displays with features like multiple windows each with its own gamma, various gamma optimizations, color balance at every gray level, minimal bezel size, a 30-bit and beyond color path to the display surface, four-color mosaics and numerous other benefits.

AN-438 Low Power RS-232C Driver and Receiver in CMOS (Rev. B)

Texas Instruments
This application report sets out to describe the new innovative low power CMOS RS-232C driver andreceiver IC's introduced by Texas Instruments with particular reference to the EIA RS-232C standard.Comparison will also be made with existing bipolar driver and receiver circuits.

Using Dyn Voltge Positio to Reduce Num of Output Caps in Micropr Pwr Sup (Rev. C)

Texas Instruments
The relatively large steady-state window and the relatively small transient window for the core voltage of amodern advanced microprocessor make attractive implementation of the dynamic voltage positioningtechnique. By employing that technique significant cost savings can be realized due to the reducednumber of output bulk capacitors. Careful consideration of all sources of error is necessar
