Current-feedback amplifiers have ideal closed-loop gain equations identical to voltage-feedback amplifiers but the similarity ends there. The detailed gain equations for the current feedback amplifer are developed here for the inverting and noninverting circuits. This paper goes beyond the gain analysis as it develops the stability criteria and discusses compensation.
