The TMS320C64? DSP is the next generation of the C6000? DSP family and is object code compatible with the TMS320C62? DSP. Some key extensions have been made to the C62? VelociTI? architecture to allow the C64? DSP to perform more work each clock cycle. These extensions include wider data paths a larger register file greater orthogonality and new instructions that support packed data processing.
