This paper is concerned with the digital implementation of spectral subtraction modified algorithm on a Texas Instruments (TI)(tm) TMS320C31 Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The algorithm was developed to suppress a car noise in speech picked up by one microphone in a running car for application in mobil hand-free telephony.
