Isolated Flybuck-boost bias solution for air-conditioner compressor

Description

The PMP10588 reference design is an isolated FlyBuck-Boost power supply for air conditioner compressor bias applications. It takes 12V nominal input and provides isolated +15V bias voltage. The load current is 150mA. The isolated output is generated from one single transformer windings on the secondary side. The design features the LM5160 synchronous buck converter configured as a FlyBuck-Boost regulator. With the benefit of primary side regulation: the supply has the outputs regulated without the opto-coupler or additional transformer winding. The LM5160 has a wide Vin range and 1.5A output current capability with integrated switch FETs. The input voltage to the reference board can be loosely regulated with a range of 9V to 15V.
