TPS40170 Automotive 5V Preregulator Reference Design
Description
This buck converter operates over a 6V - 36V input range and delivers 5V @ 8A. The design is optimized for an average current of 5.5A and peak currents up to 10A. The temperature rise at nominal current is about 20K.
