Description

PMP40270 is a dual USB type-C DFPs reference design: as a cigar lighter adapter. It has a high effieicny DCDC converter LMS3635  inside: combined with a low cost USB type-C source controller TPS25821 for each port. Full voltage range of a 12V car battery: as well as the transistion voltage up to 42V: is supported for this design. Two output type-C ports can deliever 5V1.5A indepentenly. The legacy DCP charging protocol is also involved for both ports. With the high integration parts: a low cost solution can be achieved.
