24VDC 10A eFuse and Protection Circuit for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

Description

This sub system design shows an IC based implementation of  over voltage: over current: reverse current:  reverse polarity and miss wire protection which is more accurate: lower power and faster compared to fuses: PTCs and diodes. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) I/O modules connected to a field power supply  benefit from protection on the 24V field input connectors as power supply faults or miss wiring might damage or cause the module to not operate correctly.
