Description
This reference design demonstrates a 10.5 mm x1 4.5 mm: 92% efficiency: low-electromagnetic interference (EMI) DC/DC module with the TPS54202: replacing a low dropout regulator (LDO) in major home appliance applications. The high efficiency eliminates the need of heat sink for a design that is smaller and cost-conscious. The higher current capability enables additional features to be added (WiFi: sensors and more). The high-efficiency and low-current consumption help achieving stringent energy ratings.
