Obstacle detection reference design using 76-Ghz to 81-GHz antenna-on-package (AoP) mmWave sensor

Description

This reference design demonstrates the use of the AWR1843AOP: a 76-GHz to 81-GHz: single-chip: frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) mmWave sensor with an integrated antenna on package (AoP). The sensor also has integrated DSP: MCU: and a hardware accelerator for fast Fourier transform (FFT) processing.The AWR1843AOP sensor helps developers achieve a faster time to market for use cases: including obstacle detection for smart door opening: smart trunk opening: and parking assistance. The small form factor enables placement of the sensor in locations like door handles and bumpers. It provides flexibility to Tier 1s and carmakers in planning end-use cases with small space constraints.
