Low-Power Reference and Bipolar Voltage Conditioning Circuit Reference Design for Low-Power ADCs

Description

This TI Precision Verified Design provides the theory: component selection: and simulation for a single-supply: low-power signal conditioning circuit designed to translate a +/-5 V input signal to the proper input range of a single-supply low-power 16-Bit ΔΣ ADC such as the one inside the MSP430 or other similar single-supply ADCs.  A zero-drift op amp was selected to provide excellent dc performance in the attenuation and level-shifting circuit.  Two low-power reference circuits are used to provide power: the ADC reference voltage: and biasing to the input conditioning circuit.
